Corser leaves Fogarty team
Troy Corser in action for Foggy Petronas
Former World Superbike champion Troy Corser has parted company with Foggy Petronas Racing after three years.

The 33-year-old Australian had been with the team since it was launched by four-time world champion Carl Fogarty.

"My time with the project has been fantastic," said Corser, who finished ninth in the championship this year.

"I know the bike will still improve but I want to ride a proven bike next year, to give myself the best possible chance of another shot at a world title."

Fogarty said: "Troy has done a good job for us in our two years of racing and it is a shame that we have to lose him.

"He probably still feels that he is as fast as anyone out there and feels that he can still win the world championship on another bike. It is now up to us to prove him wrong."

Corser took two pole positions last season on the Petronas FP1, with his best result a second place in the first race at Misano.
