Trident Racing's Mike Conway wants to build on his maiden GP2 win in last weekend's race at Monaco and earn himself a drive in Formula One.
The 24-year-old led from start to finish last Saturday, in the series seen as a feeder for Grand Prix racing.
He told BBC Radio Kent: "We're at the same meetings as the F1 guys. They watch our races after qualifying - it was great they saw me win."
Conway has been in Honda's F1 racing young driver programme since 2007.
And he has targeted a place in their grand prix team, although he realises it will be a tough job to oust current drivers Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button.
Conway added: "It's definitely possible, but of course there are two drivers ahead of me at Honda already, so I'm focusing on GP2.
"If anything comes from my success, then fantastic."
