Loeb slides to Argentina triumph
France's Sebastien Loeb won his fourth
straight Rally of Argentina to take the
lead in the overall standings.
The Citroen driver, who also won the
previous round in Mexico, finished two
minutes and 33 seconds ahead of Aussie
Chris Atkinson in a Subaru.
Loeb's team-mate, Spain's Dani Sordo,
took third place on another tricky day
in the rain and mud around Cordoba.
"I like difficult conditions but I
thought today's were the hardest I've
ever faced," said Loeb.
Schumacher fourth in bike debut
Seven-time Formula One champion Michael
Schumacher finished fourth in his first
competitive motorbike race.
The 39-year-old, who was third in
qualifying, recorded the second-fastest
lap in the minor series event at the
Misano circuit in Italy.
He was blocked in at the first corner
and slipped down to 10th place but
battled back through the field to
finish just outside the podium places.
Schumacher rode a 990cc KTM Super Duke
in the 10-lap KTM Trophy race.
