Bidouane claims second title
Nezha Bidouane
Bidouane was in awesome form in Edmonton
Nezha Bidouane picked up her second 400m hurdles world title following a thrilling final in Edmonton.

Drawn in lane four, the Moroccan faced an almighty battle with Russina Yuliya Nosova and Daimi Pernia of Cuba in the final 150 metres, but eventually finish on top in 53.34 seconds.

Nosova finished second in a time of 54.27 and Pernia picked up the bronze in 54.51.

Coming into the final straight, Bidouane showed the Edmonton crowd her trademark lethal burst to blow away her rivals and finish over 10 metres in front.

Bidouane first won gold in 1997, but was beaten into silver two years ago.
