The European team will be selected from a combination of world rankings and Order of Merit positions.
Five players from each list plus two captains picks will play in Oakland Hills, Michigan, from 17-19 September.
The world list qualification period ends on 23 August after the WGC-NEC Invitational at Firestone, Ohio, and the European list qualifiers have until the end of the BMW International Open on 29 August to stake their claim.
