Real Madrid's Ronaldo nominated for Ballon d'Or
Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo volleys into an empty net after rounding North Korea goalkeeper Ri Myong-Guk to score a goal for Portugal at the World Cup last year. The Real Madrid star has just been nominated for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award alongside fellow La Liga players Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernandez, and will be hoping to win it for the second time in his career.
