Ryan Shawcross has completed his £1million move to Stoke City from Manchester United.
Stoke have signed the 20-year-old Chester-born defender on a three-and-half year deal.
Shawcross told BBC Radio Stoke: "I turned down a contract at United to come to Stoke and that shows how much I want to play here."
The fee is an initial £1million, which could double depending on appearances and Stoke City's success.
