Mehmet's new contract will see him remain at St Mirren until 2008

St Mirren forward Billy Mehmet has signed a one-year contract extension with the Paisley club.
The deal will see Mehmet remain at Love Street until 2008, and means the entire first-team squad are tied to at least 12-month contracts.
Mehmet signed for the Buddies from Dunfermline in July 2005, and began his career at West Ham before moving to East End Park four years ago.
Meanwhile, Saints goalkeeper Chris Smith has signed a new deal until 2009.
St Mirren have signed former Rangers fitness coach Frank Nutall.
Nuttal, a sports scientist, will replace Jamie Ramsden who has moved in the opposite direction.
Nuttal was previously fitness coach at West Brom and Bristol City.
