Jo Tessem has left Southampton to join Norwegian club Lyn Oslo in a loan deal until the end of the season.
Midfielder Tessem, 33, has returned to his former club in his homeland and the move will take him up to the end of his current contract at Southampton.
He is expected to sign a three-year deal with Lyn Oslo in the summer.
Tessem, signed by Dave Jones, played regularly under Glenn Hoddle but fell out of favour under Gordon Strachan and has failed to win back his place.
