Montgomery signs new Blades deal
Nick Montgomery
Montgomery was put on the transfer list during the summer
Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery has signed a two-year extension to his contract, which will now run to June 2009.

Montgomery has been a revelation after being transfer-listed in the summer, helping the Blades to second in the Championship table.

Blades boss Neil Warnock said: "I am absolutely delighted that Nick has decided that his future lies with us.

"I'm sure United fans will be equally pleased he's staying."
