New board wipes out Millers' debt
Rotherham's Millmoor stadium
A new board has taken formal control of Championship strugglers Rotherham United and cleared the club's debts.

Millers 05 Ltd, a group made up of Rotherham supporters, has acquired 86% of their shares from former chairman Ken Booth and wiped out the £3m debt.

The new owners have also agreed a sale-and-lease-back deal for their Millmoor ground and they plan to start building a new stand by the end of 2005.

Rotherham are currently 11 points adrift of safety in the Championship.
