Queen of the South striker Stephen Dobbie has signed a one-year contract extension to stay at Palmerston until summer 2009.
Dobbie joined the Dumfries club in January 2007 from St Johnstone on a free transfer and has scored 22 goals for the club.
"I knew other clubs were interested but I wanted to stay with Queens." he told the club's website.
"It's a good club, and they look after their players, so I was happy to sign."
The Doonhamers' manager Gordon Chisholm was relieved his top scorer has decided to extend his stay.
"He's a born striker. I'm delighted as other teams were waiting on the wings to snap him up," he said.
The club has also agreed a similar deal with midfielder, Neil Scally, who is out for the rest of the season after getting injured against Dunfermline in December.
"Just before he was injured Neil and I 'shook hands' on an extension to his existing contract and I'm hoping to finalise it soon," said Chisholm
