Preston North End defender Matt Hill has agreed a two-year extension to his current deal, keeping him at the club until 2010.
The 26-year-old left-back, who moved to Deepdale in January 2004, was thrilled.
He told the club's website: "I started to get a bit nervous because you come into unknown territory when you have one year left.
"But thankfully the club have rewarded me with a new contract and I'm very grateful and happy to sign."
