Davies was reportedly angered after the club's annual report was published together with a statement saying that they may have to sell players.
"There was much media coverage which resulted in my opinions being quickly expressed," he said in a statement.
"But I've now had the chance to speak to the chairman and am now fully aware of the club's full financial position."
