Derby midfielder Medi Abalimba completes Oldham switch
Oldham Athletic have signed utility man Medi Abalimba from Derby County on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old, born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, can play at full-back or in midfield, but failed to make a competitive appearance for the Rams.
He began his career at Southend but left for Derby in July without a single first-team outing.
Abalimba joins Andy Todd, Reuben Reid and Cedric Evina among Oldham's signings this month.
