Norwich are to visit King's Lynn in a benefit match for former Canaries midfielder Shaun Carey on 4 October.
The 30-year-old recently suffered a career-threatening injury when he broke his leg in two places while playing for the Linnets against Corby.
"It was a really terrible injury," King's Lynn chairman Ken Bobbins told the Canaries' website.
"It just so happens that his wife is expecting a baby soon, so the timing is even worse."
Carey made 77 appearances in five seasons at Norwich before leaving in 2000 for spells at Rushden & Diamonds, Stevenage, Chester and Hornchurch.
