Keane does not see himself coming back to the club

The club face crisis should Pearse Flynn's take-over fail, but principal shareholder Dominic Keane was confident that a 31 May deadline could be met.

"All the issues were addressed and there's a better understanding of all the issues on all sides," said Keane.

"Pearse was fine, he understood that, as did West Lothian Council and the administrator."

Willie Dunn, the council's deputy leader, arranged the meeting after becoming "increasingly concerned" at the progress of the proposed take-over.

He, too, was positive after "a good open and honest" meeting.

"We're hopeful that there's a way forward for Livingston," he said: "There's a lot of work to be done but we're confident we can find a resolution."

Flynn had threatened to withdraw his bid if the club were unable to avoid a 10-point penalty levied against clubs in administration.
