The 27-year-old left-back has struggled to hold down a regular place at the KC Stadium, and has not appeared in the first teamk since 28 October.
Edge made just 25 appearances in a Tigers shirt since joining on a free transfer from Hibernian in July 2004.
He began his career with home-town club Gillingham, before spending the 2003/04 season with Hibs.
