Lee exits Hartlepool
Defender Graeme Lee has confirmed he will leave Hartlepool this summer.

The 25-year-old turned down the offer of a new deal to stay at Victoria Park, citing the need for a fresh challenge as the reason behind his decision.

Lee played over 250 games for the club and was a key part of Hartlepool's promotion push this season.

"I have loved every minute of my time at the club," Lee told the club's website.

"But I now feel I am at a time in my career where I need to try to step up a little bit and look for a fresh challenge.

"It's been very difficult for me to make this decision because obviously I have been here since I was 16 years old.

"Over the summer I have done a lot of thinking and have decided that I need to find a different club and see how it goes.

"One of the nicest things for me is that before I left we got promotion and that means there are some brilliant memories.

"The fans have always been superb to me and I would like to thank them for their support."
