Forest Green manager Jim Harvey has told BBC Radio Gloucestershire that his players must motivate themselves after Saturday's 1-0 loss at home to Rushden.
"Some of those boys are still playing for contracts and it's not a good time of the year to be playing with such a lacklustre approach," he said.
"It can't be down to me to motivate them all the time.
"They've got to go out and play and perform and I didn't see too many that wanted to be out there."
He added: "People are paying to come and watch this, and to finish off like that in the second-half was as poor as we've been all year."
