Yeovil fans anger McIndoe

Doncaster winger Michael McIndoe hit back at the Yeovil fans who gave him a hostile reception on his return to Huish Park on Tuesday.

McIndoe, 24, joined the Division Three leaders from Yeovil last summer.

Tuesday night's 1-0 win at Yeovil took Rovers 10 points clear of fourth place, with McIndoe having a hand in Ricky Ravenhill's winning goal.

"I was going to wish them all the best, but the reception I got I thought was an absolute disgrace," said McIndoe.

"I gave two-and-a-half good years of my life to this club and got promotion and what not and I thought they would be bigger men than that. But football is a very strange game at times."

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson admitted his side was not good enough to create many openings as they dropped points in their play-off quest.

"We didn't show enough guile or good play to break them down," said Johnson.

"I can't remember too many shots going in or many chances. I apologise for our lack of goal-mouth action."
