Coventry City striker Wayne Andrews has returned early from a loan spell at Bristol City after suffering an injury.
The 29-year-old, who scored three goals from five starts at City, has been diagnosed with patellar tendonitis and will require knee surgery.
Sky Blues boss Iain Dowie managed the former non-league forward at both Oldham and Crystal Palace.
Andrews signed for Coventry last summer but failed to secure a first-team place under former boss Micky Adams.
