Giddings was originally spotted playing for his local league side, Athletic United, when he was nine years old.
He has impressed and has gone through the ranks at Highfield Road breaking into the first team in the final game of last season when he came on.
The 18-year-old left back has played for all youth age groups from schoolboy to the current England Under-19 team.
