Grimsby Town midfielder Peter Sweeney has agreed a two-year contract with League Two side Bury, BBC Radio Humberside reports.
The 25-year-old will complete the move on Monday.
The ex-Leeds United and Stoke City player joined Grimsby last summer after a two-month loan spell at Blundell Park at the end of the 2008/9 season.
But Sweeney was transfer listed by the the Mariners following their relegation from the Football League last term.
Meanwhile Grimsby's out-of-contract striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro is interesting League One club Rochdale.
