Bristol Rovers have completed the signing of utility man David Pipe for £50,000 from Notts County.
The 23-year-old agreed a three-year deal with the Pirates after making 141 appearances for County.
The versatile midfielder was keen to return nearer to Wales and play at a higher level in a bid to add to his single senior Welsh cap.
Meanwhile, Rovers have agreed new deals with Richard Walker, Chris Carruthers and Lewis Haldane.
County boss Steve Thompson paid a glowing tribute to Pipe, who spent three-and-a-half years at Meadow Lane.
"You can't deny a player the opportunity to play in a higher division. It is also near Wales, his native country," he said.
"He certainly has not been pushed out. David has been magnificent for Notts County Football Club.
