Fadiga scores on Bolton comeback
Senegal and Bolton's Khalilou Fadiga
Fadiga has been given the all-clear from doctors
Bolton midfielder Khalilou Fadiga made a successful return to action on Tuesday after recent heart problems.

The 29-year-old's future had been in doubt after he fainted prior to a Carling Cup match against Tottenham.

But he played a full 90 minutes for the reserves in their Manchester Senior Cup win over Manchester City and scored from the spot in the penalty shoot-out.

Fadiga was given the all-clear only last week to resume training after Bolton had consulted medical experts.

"I am very happy to play again. I have the confidence of the team and the doctors," he said.

"It was my first game for two months and I thought I did okay. It was good to get a full game under my belt. That was important to me.

"Perhaps my next match will be with the first team. That is what I am aiming for."
