Brown feels play-off pain
BROWN'S VIEW
Aldershot manager Terry Brown
Aldershot manager Terry Brown believes the pain of the side's play-off final defeat on penalties to Shrewsbury will help his side in the long run.

"It hurts and all I can feel at the moment is pain for my players because they have worked so hard," he said.

"We have had a fantastic season - I'm sure when we reflect on it in a day or two we will take the plusses out of it and not the minus points."

He added: "In retrospect my players will have learnt a great deal."

Aldershot's three penalties were each saved by Shrewsbury keeper Scott Howie.

Brown said: "He was immense. He guessed right whatever way we put it and he looked monumental."

Aldershot claimed the final play-off spot by finishing fifth and were 21 points behind second-placed Hereford who they beat in the semi-final.

Brown added: "Had we gone up we would have over-achieved but you take advantage of the rules so to speak."
