Glenavon blew a 3-0 lead before winning a seven-goal thriller at Inver Park.
Former Larne striker Colm Kearney scored twice against his former club and Neil Gawley powered a header in between to put Glenavon in command.
Aaron Black got one back with a penalty just before the break and then Damien McLaughlin's two goals early in the second half made it 3-3.
But straight after the equaliser another former Larne man Lewis Hamlin got the winner in the 50th minute.
Hamlin stabbed in after a cross from the impressive Glenavon midfielder Eamon Murray.
