Stephen Kenny's team remain seventh in the table and now trail sixth-placed Longford Town by a single point.
The draw completes a mixed week for the North-West club.
A demoralising 2-1 home defeat to Waterford in the semi-final of the FAI Cup was followed by a shock 2-0 away win over league leaders Shelbourne.
