Eriksson has already warned England fans

England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has made a direct appeal for calm to the Turkish people ahead of next month's Euro 2004 qualifier in Istanbul.
Eriksson is keen to reduce tensions for the potentially volatile final group
game against Turkey, following his own recent warning that England fans
could risk their lives travelling to the match.
The Swede was due to meet two Turkish television crews, as well as one of the country's leading newspapers, at the Football Association's Soho Square
headquarters on Wednesday.
FA head of media Adrian Bevington said: "In the light of the many recent
comments which have been made, Sven is keen to speak directly to the Turkish people ahead of the game in Istanbul."
Eriksson is likely to stress his desire for the match to be played in a
friendly, albeit highly competitive, spirit and for there to be no outbreaks of
trouble.
The FA has turned down their official ticket allocation for the 11 October fixture, which will decide the group winners,.
The organisation has also urged fans not to travel to Istanbul after previous outbreaks of violence between rival sets of supporters.
Eriksson is also hoping to hold a joint press conference ahead of the
fixture with Turkish counterpart Senol Gunes, although this is dependent on a suitable date being found.
The England coach could be prepared to travel to next week's meeting at Uefa's headquarters in Geneva, when the two national associations will meet to discuss the game, although there is no guarantee Gunes will also be there.
