Trinity fight back to hold Lynn

Gainsborough Trinity fought back from two goals down at half-time to draw 2-2 at King's Lynn in Blue Square North.

A header from Luke Graham and Joe Francis' low shot put the hosts in control inside the first half-hour.

Sub Colin Marrison pulled a goal back after a goalkeeping error before Lewis McMahon scrambled home Trinity's leveller with seven minutes remaining.

Manager Steve Charles told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We probably deserved to win but sloppy goals cost us."

But Charles was pleased with his side's comeback after going in 2-0 down at the interval.

He said: "I had a go at the lads for the stupid goals that we gave away, but the second half was tremendous from all of them.

"Everyone's given their all and I think if the game had gone on for another 10 minutes we'd have got the winner as well."

It was the teams' second meeting over the Christmas period - with Trinity winning 2-0 on Boxing Day.

In the day's other local game Stamford and Spalding United drew 1-1 in the Unibond First Division South.

Jamie Clarke put the Daniels ahead in the first half, only for the Tulips to level just before the hour through Robbie Maddox.
