King's Lynn manager Keith Webb has suffered a setback ahead of the new Conference North season, with defender Rikki Bains rejecting a contract.
The defender had a successful loan spell after joining from Tamworth.
Bains was released by The Lambs at the end of the season, but is reported to be attracting the interest of a number of teams in the Conference leagues.
Bains played 14 games unbeaten for Lynn as an ever-present player after arriving from Tamworth.
