Kaizer Chiefs celebrated their first league title in 12 years
after securing the points they needed at rivals Moroka Swallows
in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Chiefs' 2-0 win gave them an unassailable lead with one match left in the season, turning the spotlight to the chase for second place, which also guarantees a berth in next year's African Champions League.
Three clubs are still in with a chance but if Wits University and Santos draw their match on Wednesday, Ajax Cape Town will be almost certain of finishing runners-up.
The relegation issue has yet to be settled with two of
Dynamos, Hellenic or Zulu Royals to go down at the weekend.

Caps United stretched their winning run with a ninth
successive victory in the premier league, beating second placed
Railstars 2-1 in Harare on Sunday.
First half goals from Walter Chuma and an Artwell Mabhiza
penalty ensured the win for Caps in a match which started 35
minutes late because one of the designated linesmen failed to
turn up.
They now have a seven-point lead over Bulawayo-based
Highlanders, who moved into second place by beating Harare
glamour side Dynamos for the first time in four years on Sunday.
