1852: That's quite enough of quote hour, time to let you read the masterpiece reports from today's games. Hope you enjoyed this Premier League season as much as I did, luckily there's still a bit of football left to look forward to. Match of the Day is on BBC One and online at 2225 BST and Chris Bevan's in the chair for the small matter of Nottingham Forest v Blackpool on Tuesday. I'm off to fail miserably in trying not to think about it. Bye bye.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp: "We had the game in complete control and it looked like we would go on and score two or three more, but it wasn't to be - Burnley got one back and in the second half they played really well and we faded. Perhaps I should have rested a few but I wanted to give them the chance to finish the season off. It's a dream to be in the Champions League but it's just a shame we didn't finish the job and I'll go home with the hump tonight!"

Chelsea's Frank Lampard: "It's the best feeling you can get in club football. We've been close for three years but you can't win it every year and Man United are a great side. But we've worked our socks off - teams are getting harder to beat in this league."

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti: "We played with continuity. We played as a team and at the training ground the players always did a good job. It was time for Chelsea to win the title, but Manchester United and Arsenal were fantastic rivals."

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish: "I thought it was a good game between two teams who played a lot of good football. Before Bolton scored, we should maybe have been ahead, but Bolton are very tough. But to finish ninth is a great achievement."

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini: "I think we played a good game. We had a lot of chances to score. It's important to finish in fifth, it is a good result for us. Adam Johnson is a good player. The future of Johnson is to play in the national team. Fabio Capello knows him as he saw him in the Under-21s but I don't know if he will get the call for the World Cup. For me, it is a good season. A record for Manchester City, we had chances on Wednesday to get fourth but this is football. We must build a team and buy new players to improve."

1834: I think it's fair to say everyone involved with Chelsea is feeling pretty happy right now, don't you think?

Chelsea's Didier Drogba: "Yeah, I feel very proud because for three years we were chasing this title. This is fantastic, it's for the fans. Everyone is happy and it's amazing to win the Golden Boot after being away for a month in the middle of the season."

Chelsea's Florent Malouda: "I was waiting for that trophy for so long. What a finish, amazing. We will think about the double now."

Chelsea captain John Terry: "We were brilliant today. We were tense before, but that's the fourth time we've scored seven or more. I want more of this every year and we want to go down in the club's history."

Chelsea's Ashley Cole: "I'm over the moon. As everyone knows I've not had the greatest of years but this makes up for it, and we've still got the FA Cup to look forward to to make history for this club. Hopefully now people won't doubt why I came here."

Chelsea assistant boss Ray Wilkins: "The season the guys have had has been superb and we wanted to do it in style today. I thought it would go to the wire, but these guys are winners and coupled with a fantastic manager they deserve it. We want to entertain - even in training sessions, we want to score goals."

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson: "We went a goal down to a rare mistake from Mark Schwarzer - he said the ball bobbled but I don't believe it. He has blamed the pitch, but I think he was being tongue-in-cheek. After going in 3-0 down at half-time, my aim was to 'draw' the second half and we almost did that. But we didn't have enough in our locker to beat a good Arsenal team and an Arsenal team determined to win the game."

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez: "We had a meeting last week which was positive. We will have another meeting on Wednesday next week. It is very clear what my situation is with the club. I have four years remaining on my contract and I have made a strong commitment to the club. I am really pleased to have been here for a long time and hopefully I can stay here is the conditions are right."

1814: Ooh Didier Drogba, you cheeky... he gets his medal and kisses the Premier League trophy before joining his team-mates on the podium. So does Frank Lampard, in fairness, before John Terry steps up and lifts the Premier League trophy. Cue champagne being sprayed out - it's officially party time at the Bridge.

1810: Carlo Ancelotti leads his Chelsea players out to a terrific ovation at Stamford Bridge. John Terry, of course, will be last out as he is going to lift the Premier League trophy.

Chelsea captain John Terry: "It's about Chelsea Football Club and our day today. It's been a hard three years, not winning the Premier League, but we've done it today and we deserved it. It's been inside of me for three years, seeing Man United lift it season after season and every single one of us has sat there and watched it. And now it's their turn to sit there and watch us today."

1807: At West Ham, Manchester City's Carlos Tevez donned a Hammers shirt at the final whistle and received a standing ovation from the whole of Upton Park. Home is where the heart is.

1806: The Premier League trophy is being brought out at Stamford Bridge as the players' wives and children gather on the pitch for the celebrations.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson: "Next year we will hopefully bring back the title to the best place in the world."

1803: The stage is quite literally being set for Chelsea to lift the Premier League title at Stamford Bridge. Roman Abramovich looks very much like a man planning to get the beers in (though not for himself, as he's teetotal).

1801: Let's have a shout out for Liverpool's Jack Robinson, who came on three minutes from the end at Hull to become the club's youngest ever player. He's 16 years and eight months old.

BBC Sport's Dan Roan at Old Trafford: "OT is a sea of green and gold. Deafening whistling and anti-Glazer chants. It only abates when Sir Alex addresses the crowd."

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge: "Chelsea's players go into a dance of celebration. Ashley Cole's goal, their eighth of the afternoon, provided a fitting conclusion to another scintillating attacking display. And great recognition from Stamford Bridge for Carlo Ancelotti, who has gone about the job of bringing the title back to Chelsea with a quiet dignity. The ghost of Jose Mourinho may not be banished yet, but Ancelotti has claimed his place in Chelsea history."

Everton goal: If that's the last goal of the Premier League season, it's a hell of a way to bow out. The ball comes to Russian winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov 30 yards out and the Russian's left-foot screamer flies into the top corner, an absolute crackerjack of a strike.

1756: GOAL Everton 1-0 Portsmouth

1755: The celebrations begin in earnest for Chelsea and the man with the biggest smile is Didier Drogba, who has finished as leading scorer ahead of United's Wayne Rooney. It's a day of jubilation for the Stamford Bridge club as they win their first title since 2006.

Chelsea goal: Incredible stuff. After some good work from Joe Cole, a cross from the right falls for Ashley Cole at the far post and he volleys home.

Burnley goal: What a second-half performance that is from Burnley. Wade Elliott fires in a cross-shot and Steven Thompson gets a deflection on it to send it in.

1749: GOAL Burnley 4-2 Tottenham

1748: Chelsea have shown a flagrant disregard for the usual final-day nerves you'd expect from a title-chasing team. What a performance this is as they lead Wigan 7-0 with a few minutes remaining.

1747: Blackburn's goal might be attributed as an own goal for Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne, just to keep you informed.

1746: What a consolation that would have been for Wigan. Victor Moses hits a screamer from 35 yards that is flying into the top corner, until Petr Cech pulls off a brilliant fingertip save.

Blackburn goal: Junior Hoilett steals in front of Richard Dunne to guide Martin Olsson's cross past Brad Friedel with a deft header and put Blackburn's third league win of the season away from Ewood Park in sight.

Man Utd goal: Poor defending from a corner results in Manchester United substitute Park Ji-Sung heading home his team's fourth at the far post.

Arsenal goal: Brilliant. Samir Nasri sends Carlos Vela clean through and the Mexican chips impudently, nonchalantly over Mark Schwarzer, a la Lionel Messi v the Gunners.

Chelsea goal: What a way to win the Premier League title. Chelsea score seven for the fourth time in the league at home this season after Joe Cole's shot is well saved by Mike Pollitt and Didier Drogba bundles in the rebound to complete his hat-trick.

1740: SENDING OFF (Michael Turner, Sunderland)

1740: GOAL Chelsea 7-0 Wigan

1739: Wayne Rooney goes off for Manchester United. Didier Drogba's brace at Chelsea means the United forward will not end the season as the Premier League's top scorer. More concerning is the fact that Rooney was holding his sore groin as he left the field...

1738: Aston Villa have a penalty appeal turned down as John Carew falls under pressure from Christopher Samba but the big Norwegian looked like he was heading away from goal.

Wolves goal: Ronald Zubar's fine interception from a cross field ball feeds Adiene Guedioura, who thunders the ball past Craig Gordon from the edge of the box. No more than Wolves deserve.

Birmingham goal: Eventually, the Blues get their goal. Chucho Benitez goes down in the box and a penalty is given. His attempt is saved by Jussi Jaaskelainen, who makes a better save from the rebound from Lee Bowyer, before James McFadden slams in from close-range.

1734: Rory Delap's header brings an amazing save from Edwin van der Sar.

Burnley goal: I bet Clarets fans and Brian Laws wish they'd played like this in the last few weeks. Steven Fletcher swings over a ball from the left and Martin Paterson sweeps into the Spurs net.

1732: GOAL Burnley 3-2 Tottenham

1729: Michael Ballack comes off at Chelsea, perhaps for the final time, replaced by Nemanja Matic.

Chelsea goal: That's the Premier League's Golden Boot for Didier Drogba, then. He flicks a ball through to Ashley Cole and Cole is clipped in the box by Mario Melchiot. This time from the spot, Frank Lampard lets Drogba take it and he rifles in-off the post to move on to 28 goals for the season.

1728: GOAL Chelsea 6-0 Wigan

1727: PENALTY TO CHELSEA

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge: "Chelsea's fans are bouncing - literally - and this a title being clinched in the most emphatic style possible. Stamford Bridge is alive with celebration and with more than 20 minutes to go there is every chance Wigan could go the same way as Sunderland, Aston Villa and Stoke and being on the receiving end of a seven-goal beating."

1724: Any doubts that Ledley King should be on the plane to South Africa this summer are surely erased by a fabulous goal-saving tackle to deny Steven Thompson after a free-flowing move from the home side. It's King's third game in nine days, too.

Chelsea goal: Now he's in front of Wayne Rooney. Chelsea score their 100th Premier League goal of the season - moments after Didier Drogba's overhead kick is saved, he heads in Frank Lampard's cross at the back stick. Too easy by miles.

1722: GOAL Chelsea 5-0 Wigan

1721: Didier Drogba almost adds a fifth but fizzes a shot across the face of the goal from Joe Cole's neat pass. At Everton, Pompey have the ball in the net thanks to Antony vanden Borre, but it's ruled out for offside. He wasn't even close to being offside, silly decision.

Bolton goal: Double your money for the Trotters as Vladimir Weiss tees up Ivan Klasnic to fire past Joe Hart from inside the Birmingham penalty area.

1720: GOAL Bolton 2-0 Birmingham

1719: David Dunn looks perplexed after being given a yellow card by Steve Bennett for diving when challenged by James Collins in the box and replays suggest he may have a point. Meanwhile at Old Trafford, Stoke fans to United fans: "You're not champions anymore."

1718: For some reason, Chelsea fan John Major is at Molineux watching Wolves v Sunderland rather than watching his side win the league. He is wearing a blue tie though. Joe Cole and Juliano Belletti come on for Branislav Ivanovic and Salomon Kalou.

Chelsea goal: Party time. Nicolas Anelka scores a stunning fourth for Chelsea, volleying home Branislav Ivanovic's superb right-wing cross. The party is well and truly under way at Stamford Bridge.

1717: GOAL Chelsea 4-0 Wigan

Burnley goal: They deserve that for a fine second-half display so far. Martin Paterson whacks over a cross from the right and Jack Cork gets into the mixer to head home.

1715: GOAL Burnley 2-2 Tottenham

Chelsea goal: Yeah, that's it. Chelsea fans can get the champers out now as Salomon Kalou plays a fine one-two with Frank Lampard and rolls coolly into the Wigan net from eight yards. The Premier League trophy is heading back to Stamford Bridge.

1714: GOAL Chelsea 3-0 Wigan

Man Utd goal: Well they've done everything they can and United are finishing their season in style too. Wayne Rooney turns well inside the Stoke box down the left and hammers it across goal where Danny Higginbotham slices into his own net. Yet another own goal for the Red Devils this season.

1712: GOAL Manchester United 3-0 Stoke City

1709: Robin van Persie is denied by a brilliant Mark Schwarzer save at the Emirates and then from the rebound he slams against the post. Arsenal are threatening to run up a hefty score against the Europa League finalists.

1707: Spurs break at Burnley and Jermain Defoe tees up Aaron Lennon to fire a shot against the Clarets' post.

BBC Sport's Dan Roan at Old Trafford: "Turns out the Glazers aren't here to see the protests as their plane couldn't fly in over Ireland because of the ash cloud! Club official just told me they don't expect more demonstrations after the match."

1705: The Chelsea players have a little on-pitch huddle that includes the stroppy Didier Drogba. The champions-elect are under way and 45 minutes away from winning the Premier League title. The other games are all under way too.

1659: You couldn't make Germany up, could you? This just in from the Associated Press: Tens of thousands of fans have celebrated Bayern Munich's 22nd German championship as the team's lederhosen-clad players sang and danced on the balcony of the city hall.

BBC Sport's Dan Roan at Old Trafford: "The anti-Glazer sentiment was more intense than at any stage this season outside OT before kick-off. A mass protest by the Green and Gold campaign turned unpleasant when hundreds of supporters clashed with police in front of the East Stand. Horses were used to dispel the crowd but the protesters then made their way to the directors entrance where they were again involved in heated exchanges with police."

1657: Apparently, there are some complaints about a lack of mentions from Aston Villa v Blackburn. Maybe if they scored, they might get their names up in lights... Actually Villa have been on top but they cannot find a way through a stubborn Blackburn defence.

1656: Over in Italy, Francesco Totti has assured the Serie A title race will go down to the final day as well after giving AS Roma a nervy 2-1 victory at home to Cagliari. However, Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan have a two-point advantage, a far superior goal difference and play already-relegated Siena.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge: "As smooth as Chelsea would have wanted it. This game looks over and the title is on its way back to Stamford Bridge. Didier Drogba's childish response to not being allowed to take the penalty provides a nice sub-plot to the second half. Will he get the goal or goals he needs to win the Golden Boot? Dread to think what will happen to his toys if he doesn't."

1648: Half-time whistles are being blown across the country. It's not quite the dramatic final day we might have hoped for a few weeks ago, is it?

1646: Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani hits the bar with a right-foot shot at Hull and from the rebound Daniel Agger slices horribly wide.

1646: Birmingham's players are furious after referee Kevin Friend harshly chalks off a James McFadden effort for handball. McFadden's initial effort was saved by Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen, but the midfielder continued his run and bundled the rebound in off his torso. McFadden, Sebastian Larsson and Roger Johnson are all booked during the ensuing recriminations.

Burnley goal: The Clarets are back in it in their last Premier League game for heaven knows how long. Steven Fletcher flicks the ball through to Wade Elliott and he fires well past Ben Alnwick in the Spurs goal.

1644: GOAL Burnley 1-2 Tottenham

1643: Didier Drogba is not looking like a man playing for a team in a fabulous position to win the league. The Ivorian still seems to be throwing a mini-tantrum because he was overlooked for penalty-taking duties for Chelsea's second goal. He's got 26 Premier League goals, same as Wayne Rooney in the battle for the Golden Boot.

1642: Quiet, isn't it?

Man Utd goal: Manchester United double their lead at Old Trafford with a crisp first-time strike from the evergreen Ryan Giggs. However, the home fans realise Chelsea are winning at Stamford Bridge and the celebrations are somewhat low-key.

Arsenal goal: Theo Walcott sends in a low cross from the right, Emmanuel Eboue flicks it on and Chris Baird tries to clear but turns the ball into his own net for an unfortunate own goal.

1639: GOAL Manchester United 2-0 Stoke City

Spurs goal: Sensational second goal for Spurs. Gareth Bale again slices open Burnley's marking and creates space for Luka Modric to beat Steven Caldwell with a neat stepover before slamming an unstoppable left foot shot into the top corner of Brian Jensen's net.

1638: GOAL Arsenal 3-0 Fulham

1637: Alessandro Diamanti is inches away from giving West Ham the lead again at Upton Park. He cuts inside Pablo Zabaletta and unleashes a well-struck shot from 22 yards but it hits the outside of Marton Fulop's right-hand post and goes wide.

Bolton goal: The Trotters take the lead through Kevin Davies, who angles a header across Birmingham keeper Joe Hart from Paul Robinson's free-kick.

Chelsea goal: Good break from the hosts as Didier Drogba flicks through to Frank Lampard and he goes past Gary Caldwell, who appears to grab the shirt of the midfielder as he goes down. Caldwell is shown a straight red card and Lampard slams home the penalty.

Man Utd goal: Not their prettiest goal of the season, but they're doing what they can. Nemanja Vidic heads a corner goalwards and after a couple of deflections, Darren Fletcher sticks it in from close range.

1631: GOAL Manchester United 1-0 Stoke City

1629: Chelsea haven't been that impressive so far - but they put together a decent move down their left this time that ends with Nicolas Anelka firing in a cross and Ashley Cole not making any contact on his attempted flick between his legs a la namesake Joe at Old Trafford a few weeks back.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge: "Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has just spent at least two minutes trying to attract the attention of Charles N'Zogbia - and it still doesn't look like he has got his message across. Wigan have responded pretty well to going behind so early. Plenty of possession but need more threat to go with it."

1628: Adam Johnson is causing all manner of problems for the West Ham defence. He jinks in from the right and draws a lunging tackle from Matthew Upson in the box, but referee Howard Webb waves away penalty appeals, with replays showing the defender just got a toe to the ball.

1628: Busy, isn't it? As things stand, Chelsea are Premier League champions. They lead Wigan 1-0, while Manchester United are 0-0 at home to Stoke.

Arsenal goal: Too easy for the Gunners. Bacary Sagna plays Theo Walcott through on the right and his pass is fired goalwards by Robin van Persie - it's brilliantly saved on to the bar by Mark Schwarzer, but Van Persie slams in the rebound.

1626: GOAL Arsenal 2-0 Fulham

1624: Nabil El Zhar forces Matt Duke into a fine one-handed save as Liverpool begin to find their feet against Hull and from the resulting corner, the hosts are fortunate when George Boateng heads a mis-hit Dirk Kuyt shot off the line.

1623: Bolton are hammering at the door at the Reebok Stadium, where Zat Knight has just shuddered the post with a lovely curled effort - struck from all of 25 yards - from Ivan Klasnic's layoff. At Manchester United, Dimitar Berbatov heads Nani's impudent cross against the Stoke crossbar.

Man City goal: Manchester City back on level terms within minutes. Adam Johnson digs out a cross from the right to the far post where Shaun Wright-Phillips - the shortest man on the pitch - is waiting to direct a neat header back across goal and in.

1622: GOAL West Ham 1-1 Manchester City

Arsenal goal: Disaster for Mark Schwarzer. He takes a heavy touch and Andrey Arshavin is in like a flash, taking the ball off the keeper, dribbling in from the byeline and beating Schwarzer again before slipping it past two players on the line.

1620: GOAL Arsenal 1-0 Fulham

BBC Radio 5 live's Mark Lawrenson: "It's almost like Chelsea are playing as the away team at the moment, trying to catch Wigan on the break. Strange."

Hammers goal: We might not get a better goal all day long - superb. Alessandro Diamanti produces an outrageous back-flick a la Paolo di Canio to set up Luis Boa Morte and the returning forward clips expertly over Marton Fulop.

1617: GOAL West Ham 1-0 Man City

1616: What a chance for Bolton as Jack Wilshere does brilliantly to tee up Matty Taylor in acres of space inside the Birmingham box, but he is foiled by a fabulous Joe Hart save.

1615: Dimitar Berbatov should open the scoring for Manchester United but heads Nani's cross over from six yards.

1614: Decent half-chance for Wigan at Stamford Bridge but Charles N'Zogbia curls a shot high and wide from on the right. At Wolves, Sunderland's Steed Malbranque acrobatically volleys against the post.

1612: Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski flaps at a high ball and his defenders barely manage to scramble the ball clear. Moments later Robin van Persie goes close at the other end, his shot is heading for the top corner before Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer makes a magnificent tip away.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge: "Sounds like a party is getting under way inside Stamford Bridge - and that is because Nicolas Anelka's goal has given Chelsea the start of their dreams. Carlo Ancelotti's touchline celebrations illustrated the importance of that early, nerve-settling goal. Everything they wanted. The job is on the way to being done."

Wolves goal: Wolves striker Kevin Doyle scores from the spot despite Craig Gordon getting a hand to his low effort, after Alan Hutton brought down Matt Jarvis. Just over two minutes between the two goals.

1610: GOAL Wolves 1-1 Sunderland

1609: PENALTY TO WOLVES

Sunderland goal: Kenwyne Jones, after good work by Frazier Campbell, beats one challange and shoots, with a deflection off former Sunderland man Jody Craddock taking in past Marcus Hahnemann and in via the post.

1609: Word spreads quickly around Old Trafford about Chelsea's goal. The Stoke fans chant: "Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea." It does not go down well.

1608: GOAL Wolves 0-1 Sunderland

Chelsea goal: Is that it already? A Didier Drogba free-kick clips the top of the Wigan wall and when it's played back in, Florent Malouda might be offside. But he chests it down to Nicolas Anelka and he drills in at the near post from close range. The Bridge erupts.

1606: GOAL Chelsea 1-0 Wigan

1556: Chelsea v Wigan The Latics have not won in their last 17 Premier League games in London, a run that goes back to a 2-0 victory away at West Ham in December 2006. But this is a Wigan team that did for Chelsea 3-1 at the DW earlier on in the season and that ended Arsenal's title hopes with a 3-2 win in April.

But Fryatt, who hasn't played much football in recent weeks, rustily shoots straight at the keeper and the chance goes begging.

1455: That free-kick comes to nothing, but Leicester look visibly disappointed to have fallen behind at such a late stage. They can ill afford conceding another one here.

1454: Midfielder Peter Whittingham has now scored 24 goals this season. Midfielder, I said. That's remarkable. Richie Wellens picks up a booking now and Cardiff have another free-kick on the edge of the Leicester box.

Cardiff goal: That's the one they wanted. Leicester concede a free-kick 25 yards out, about seven yards right of centre, and Peter Whittingham hits a sizzling left-foot shot that beats Chris Weale's despairing dive, clips the inside of the post and nestles in the back of the net. Super strike.

A cross into the Cardiff box sees Kevin McNaughton challenge Martyn Waghorn - and he seems to bundle into the back of the Leicester man, before the ball hits McNaughton's arm. 1431: Matty Fryatt goes through some limbering up exercises on the touchline for Leicester, much to the delight of the home supporters. He'd give them a bigger cutting edge, no doubt.

1429: Jay Bothroyd goes in strongly on Jack Hobbs, elbow raised, catching the Leicester defender around his neck and pole-axing him. Bothroyd deservedly picks up a yellow card.
