Duff scored Chelsea's fourth goal

Chelsea ripped Watford apart at Vicarage Road in a match knocked out of the spotlight by the news that the Blues look set to sign Joe Cole and Juan Sebastian Veron.
A decent 18,629 crowd saw
Glen Johnson, Geremi, Wayne Bridge and Damien Duff all feature.
It was no surprise when the Premiership side went 1-0 up with 11 minutes on
the clock as
Bridge dinked a ball into Mikael Forssell who
fired into the bottom corner from 16 yards.

Ranieri's team looked irresistible going forward and Frank Lampard's drive
smacked against the right-hand post 60 seconds later.
Chelsea doubled their lead on 16 minutes as Jesper Gronkjaer was felled in the penalty area by Paul
Robinson and Jimmy
Floyd Hasselbaink stroked home from the spot.
Number three came seven minutes later through unlucky Hornets defender Neil
Ardley.
Geremi's effort hit the post and Ardley
slid in to challenge Forssell but only succeeded in poking the ball into his own
net.
Watford surprisingly reduced the deficit to 3-1 just after the
half-hour when Heidar Helguson nodded home Ardley's cross.
But Duff restored the visitors' three-goal cushion as the hour mark neared,
tucking home Chamberlain's parry from Eidur Gudjohnsen's shot.
