Kanu nets charity brace
Kanu in action for the Africa XI
Arsenal striker Kanu scored twice to give an African XI a 7-4 victory over a Rest of the World side at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday.

The Nigeria international came on as a substitute in the match he organised to raise funds for his Kanu Heart Foundation charity and he capped the occasion with two goals.

Blackburn striker Hakan Sukur had a 45-minute run-out and showed he is getting back to full fitness.

Along with team-mates club Tugay and Martin Taylor, he sacrificed the club's trip to Marbella to take part in the charity match.

Sukur, who made his first appearance for Blackburn on Saturday after breaking his leg, was on target for the Rest of the World.

However he needed brief treatment six minutes before half-time when he was left limping after a collision with goalkeeper Murphy Akanji.

Sukur recovered and played out the half before being one of a host of substitutions.
