India's state-run Doordarshan television channel will broadcast all five upcoming one-day international matches between India and Pakistan.

After an agreement before the Supreme Court, Doordarshan will pay £1.9m to Dubai-based Ten Sports, who have exclusive rights to the on-going tour.

Ten Sports had challenged government guidelines making it mandatory to share sporting events of national importance.

Ten Sports is available via cable TV in India, but its reach is limited.

State television can be accessed by some 90% of the Indian population and an estimated 500m people are expected to watch the one-day matches.
