Bashar could be dropped after a poor run with the bat

Habibul Bashar has given up the one-day captaincy of Bangladesh but wants to continue as a player in the team.
The 34-year-old announced his decision after an innings defeat by India in the second Test meant a 1-0 series loss.
"I have made up my mind. I don't want to be the captain of the one-day side anymore. However, I'll be available for the one-day squad," Bashar explained.
But Bashar could be dropped from both the Test and one-day squads after a dismal run of form with the bat.
He made only 105 runs in the World Cup and was dismissed for a duck and 43 in the two recent one-day internationals against India on home soil.
The veteran right-hander also struggled in the two Tests, totalling only 46 in four innings.
Under his captaincy, Bangladesh have won one out of 18 Tests and 29 out of 69 ODIs.
