Schools plan gets further boost
|
|
The initiative launched two years ago to improve the take up of competitive cricket in state schools will receive a further boost, it has been announced.
Chance to Shine will be a beneficiary of the new National Sports Foundation, outlined by the Chancellor last year.
It will get £2.5 million per year in addition to the £2 million it already receives from Sport England.
Minister for Sport Richard Caborn said: "This new government money will help cricket build on the Ashes success."
