Mohammad Yousuf says Pakistan are setting their sights on a 2-0 series win over England after dominating day three of the final Test in Lahore.
Yousuf (183) and Kamran Akmal (115) put on an unbroken 199 to guide the hosts to 446-5 - a first-innings lead of 158.
"It's a very good partnership and Kamran played well. It was a difficult situation when we came in," he said.
"I think if we lead by 250 or 275 we have a good chance to win because we have a very good bowling side."
He added: "There was very good batting first from Shoaib Akhtar, which helped stabilise us and after that Kamran batted very well.
"Both of us played very good innings and now we're looking to win the game."
Meanwhile, captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is expected to bat again if needed.
The 35-year-old was hit on his forearm by a delivery from fast bowler Steve Harmison and retired hurt on 35 on Wednesday.
But a spokesman for the Pakistan Cricket Board said X-rays revealed he had only suffered bruising.
