Woolmer labels England favourites
Bob Woolmer
Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer believes England are favourites to win the Test series between the sides.

Fresh from their Ashes success, England are due to arrive in Pakistan at the end of October, where they will embark on a three-Test and one-day series.

"I think England are favourites," he told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek.

"I don't think we play Test cricket as well as I would like. We've got a couple of problems we have to sort out before England come."

He added: "There's a lot of talent in Pakistan, and we're looking to nurture those coming through.

"Our opening partnership, the format of how many bowlers we play, and our fielding and catching, are areas where we have to improve."

Woolmer picked the England players who he believes were key to the side's success against Australia and could cause problems in Pakistan.

"I think the Andrew Strauss and the Marcus Trescothick opening partnership has been a particularly strong one," he added.

"And of course, the one most important person is Michael Vaughan, who I think has captained brilliantly."
