Former union boss joins ECB
Bill Morris
Morris has had a life-long passion for cricket
Former union leader Sir Bill Morris has been appointed as a member of the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Morris, the first black TUC general secretary, will serve as an independent non-executive director of the ECB.

Jamaican-born Morris was knighted following his retirement last year.

"I am honoured by this appointment, and I look forward to contributing to the future development of cricket at all levels," he said.

ECB chairman David Morgan said: "His love and knowledge of cricket and extensive experience will be of great value."
