Solanki signs new deal
Vikram Solanki
Solanki made his Worcestershire debut in 1995

Vikram Solanki gave Worcestershire a boost on the eve of the C&G Trophy final by signing a new three-year contract with the club.

The deal ensures the 28-year-old will stay at New Road until the end of the 2007 season.

Solanki scored 127 in the semi-final win over Warwickshire, earning him the Man of the Match award.

He was subsequently recalled to the England one-day squad for next month's ICC Champions Trophy.
