Bichel retained by Worcs
Andy Bichel
Bichel has had success in England
Australian all-rounder Andy Bichel has signed a new one-year contract to continue as Worcestershire's overseas player next summer.

The 31-year-old Queenslander took 66 wickets and scoring 627 runs in this season's CricInfo Championship.

Australian paceman Glenn McGrath had been contracted to return for a second year of his contract in 2002 but his crowded international schedule has made that impossible.

Bichel previously stated that he would jump at the chance of a second year in county cricket.
