Trego agrees return to Somerset
Peter Trego
Trego took 16 wickets at a cost of 36 each for Middlesex this summer
Somerset have re-signed all-rounder Peter Trego on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old, who made seven Championship games for Middlesex this summer, previously played for the club from 2000-2002.

"I have watched Peter in action twice recently and he swung the ball, which is a great asset at Taunton.

"That is what attracts me most, although he can also bat," Director of Cricket Brian Rose told the club's official website.

Trego was born in Weston-super-Mare and made his debut for Somerset's second team when he was only 16 years old.

During the 2002 season he hit 140 against West Indies A but was released at the end of the summer and moved on to Kent.

He lasted only one summer at Canterbury but was given a chance to re-launch his county career by Middlesex coach John Emburey in July.
