Glamorgan have secured Australian left-handed opener Matthew Elliott for the 2005 season.
The 32-year-old Victorian was the Welsh county's leading scorer in both the Frizzell County Championship and the Totesport League this year.
It will be his third season in Wales, the first coming in 2000.
"It's an exciting time, there was never going to be a problem for me in committing to return next year," said the 21-times-capped Elliott.
"I've really enjoyed my cricket this summer and I'm delighted everything has been finalised.
"It's been a fantastic year for Glamorgan. I think the club is really going places and there are a lot of young players coming through.
"I look forward to returning and making a contribution."
A fortnight ago, the Welsh county signed Aussie bowler Michael Kasprowicz for another 12 months as their other overseas player.
However, he is expected to be selected for his country's Ashes tour of England, which would rule him out of the county season.
