Derbyshire rescued by Welsh rain

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION TWO, Swalec Stadium
Glamorgan v Derbyshire
28 April - 1 May
Match Drawn. Glamorgan 403-6, Derbyshire 210 and 34-3 (Glam 12 pts, Derbys 7 pts)

The weather came to Derbyshire's aid at Cardiff as they escaped with a draw against Glamorgan despite losing 11 wickets on the final day.

The rain accounted for 24 overs after the entire third day was washed out.

Robert Croft (3-45) and seamer David Harrison (4-60) had raised hopes of a victory for the home side.

And ex-England spinner Croft again made inroads in the visitors' second innings with another three wickets before the weather intervened with Derby on 34-3.
