Wantage Road, day one of four (close): Northants 33-1 v Worcestershire
The opening day at Wantage Road was restricted to a mere 10.2 overs as Northants made 33-1 against Worcs.
The home side won the toss but in the first over teenager Alex Wakely succumbed to a rash stroke and edged to the wicket-keeper for a four-ball duck.
Kabir Ali caused further problems but Rob White and Stephen Peters took the score to 28-1 before rain descended.
After a five-hour delay the teams came back for all of five balls before bad light brought the day to an end.
