Rain rules at Derby
Lancashire lost two wickets before the rain returned
At Derby: Lancashire 17-2 after 4.3 overs (1 pt) drew with Derbyshire (1 pt)

Just 27 balls were possible at a rainy Racecourse ground, before Sunday's B&H Cup match between Derbyshire and Lancashire was abandoned.

Rain throughout the morning meant that it was 2pm before the teams could even take the field, home skipper Dominic Cork electing to bat first having won the toss.

The visitors made a terrible start, seeing Glenn Chapple lbw to Kevin Dean for four and David Byas bowled by Cork for three.

But the rain then returned with Lancs 17 for two, and umpires John Steele and Barry Dudleston called play off just before 4pm.

Derbyshire: S D Stubbings, M J Di Venuto, S A Selwood C W G Bassano, D R Hewson, D G Cork (Capt), K M Krikken (Wkt) S M Ali, T Lungley, G Welch, K J Dean.

Lancashire: M J Chilton, T W Roberts, D Byas, S G Law, G D Lloyd W K Hegg (Capt, Wkt), G Chapple, K W Hogg, C P Schofield, J Wood M P Smethurst.

Umpires: B Dudleston and J F Steele
