Captain Moeen Ali hit 54 as England made a winning start to the Under-19 World Cup with a 77-run win over Nepal.
Mark Nelson (40) and Varun Chopra (38) also made useful contributions to help England reach 209-9.
Nepal were dismissed for 132 in reply, with Nicholas James, Rory Hamilton-Brown and Steven Mullaney all claiming two wickets apiece.
England are next in action on Wednesday when they face Ireland, who suffered a
118-run loss to Zimbabwe on Sunday.
Elsewhere on day two of the tournament in Colombo, Pakistan took just 12.5 overs to demolished Uganda by eight wickets after bowling them out for 74.
West Indies opener William Perkins hit a superb 133 from only 150 balls to beat newcomers the USA by 87 runs.
